I would like to follow my prior message on the terrorist attacks in Israel with the important update that we are relieved that we have now been able to account for all of our IBM Israel colleagues. We continue to mourn the loss of an IBMer who was killed while bravely defending his family and the death of an IBM retiree. We honor their memories and continue to offer our full assistance and support to their families and all IBMers who have been impacted. In addition to directly supporting our IBMers, we also are matching employee donations to humanitarian organizations that are supporting relief efforts. IBM unequivocally condemns these attacks and all acts of terrorism, and we hope for peace to come soon.

This weekend we witnessed a horrific outbreak of war in Israel. I want to offer my deepest condolences to those whose lives have been hurt. As we absorb the human cost of this terrible violence, I am sad to share that our IBM community has not been spared. One IBMer was killed defending their family, and an IBM retiree also lost their life.

We honor their memories, and our hearts go out to their families who are working through indescribable pain.

Since this violence unfolded, IBM has been working proactively to protect and support IBMers and their loved ones impacted in this time of war. IBM stands by our people, and they can count on the company’s support for as long as they need.

As a company, we also believe collective engagement and action is critical to addressing moments of crisis. IBM stands firmly with our partners at the Business Roundtable, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and the Partnership for New York in condemning attacks in Israel.

We join the global community in the hope that peace and safety can be quickly restored.
