Senior Vice President, Transformation and Operations
Joanne is focused on transforming IBM’s business operations, in part by infusing capabilities such as automation and intelligent workflows across the company to help boost productivity and ensure IBM better serves its clients and partners. She leads the company’s operations, procurement, Chief Information Office, and Chief Data Office organizations.
In her almost 25-year career at IBM, Joanne has held key leadership roles across procurement, manufacturing, supply chain, real estate, client support, and operations. She has also led the transformation of the company’s quote-to-cash process and helped make IBM client zero for its automation and advanced analytics technology.
She received the Female Executive of the Year, Stevie Award in 2022 and 2019, and is a two-time recipient of the Fortune Most Powerful Women Next-Gen Award. Joanne serves as an ambassador of IBM’s culture and DEI initiatives, and advocates for empowering women leaders and expanding allyship. She serves on the board of the United Way of Putnam & Westchester in New York.
Joanne holds a bachelor’s degree from Glasgow Caledonian University.
