The Masters and IBM: 25+ Years of Digital Innovation
IBM has been the digital partner of the Masters for more than 25 years, and together we work closely to bring unparalleled experiences to golf patrons worldwide. New for the 2021 Tournament, the Masters is introducing Masters Fantasy, which will include player insights from IBM Watson. Masters Fantasy, the first fantasy experience ever for the Tournament, gives patrons the opportunity to create a fantasy team of golfers they can follow throughout the Tournament.
Starting with the launch of Masters.org in 1996, the Masters has partnered with IBM on a journey to the hybrid cloud to streamline their workloads, and bring new fan experiences to patrons through cloud and AI technologies. The implementation of that technology has been showcased continually, including the introduction of: AI highlights, Round in Under Three Minutes, MyGroup and new this year, Masters Fantasy with player insights, powered by IBM Watson.
