“For Americans to realize the fully transformative potential of artificial intelligence, they need access to research, skills programs, and experiential learning opportunities that promote AI literacy. Tomorrow’s markup in the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology includes several bipartisan bills that would boost initiatives - from K-12 to postgraduate - and create new opportunities for AI research, education, and workforce development. And notably, the CREATE AI Act would authorize the funding of the National AI Research Resource, for which IBM has advocated for years.
“IBM supports the advancement of the CREATE AI Act, Expanding AI Voices Act, LIFT AI Act, Workforce for AI Trust Act, and NSF AI Education Act of 2024 and remains optimistic that Congress can advance bipartisan AI legislation this year.” - Christina Montgomery, Vice President, Chief Privacy & Trust Officer, IBM
