IBM Cloud Code Engine, a platform running on the IBM Cloud, makes it much easier to develop and manage cloud-native applications. Cloud Code Engine is designed as a front-end platform that developers can bring a container image to, and let IBM take care of the rest. Cloud Code Engine is designed for developers to obtain the benefits of Kubernetes with ease, flexibility and security – so they can embrace hybrid cloud and focus on writing code instead of dealing with underlying infrastructure.
Over the last decade, AI has made great strides in understanding human language. Inspired by this success, IBM asked itself: can we mimic this same success in the "language of machines", i.e. code? At THINK 2021, IBM will unveil its largest effort to date in this space: Project CodeNet. A large-scale, open source dataset comprised of 14 million code samples, 500 million lines of code and 55 programming languages, CodeNet is designed to enable AI's understanding and automation of code. It is currently the largest, most differentiated dataset in its class.
EY and IBM have established a Center of Excellence that offers new open hybrid cloud solutions built with Red Hat OpenShift for the IBM Cloud for Financial Services. The solutions will be centered on regulatory compliance, digital trust and security, leveraging IBM technology and EY experience working with financial institutions to drive digital transformation and accelerate cloud adoption.
Enterprise developers are a critical success factor for hybrid cloud environments. Find out how IBM is helping developers build capabilities via a comprehensive AI-powered automation platform, Micro2Micro for WebSphere Hybrid Edition, the CodeNet open source dataset, and Cloud Pak for Data Auto SQL.
When our partners succeed, so do our customers... and so do we. That’s why IBM is investing $1 billion to help partners and their customers by simplifying engagements, streamlining go-to-market strategies, and designing specialized Build, Service, and Sell tracks with tailored offers to help speed time to value.
This new study reveals that the imperative to embed AI into business processes became more urgent during the pandemic. Of IT professionals surveyed, 43 percent said that their companies had accelerated their rollout of AI. And nearly half of global IT professionals surveyed said they evaluate AI providers in large part on their ability to automate processes.
Maximo Mobile is an easy-to-deploy mobile platform with IBM’s leading Maximo enterprise asset management solution at the core. Maximo Mobile is designed to transform the work of field technicians who maintain physical assets such as roads, bridges, production lines, power plants, refineries and more. A new, intuitive interface provides technicians with the right asset operational data at the right time.
IBM introduces a new capability in WebSphere Hybrid Edition that enables enterprises to optimize and modernize their applications and workloads to run in hybrid cloud environments on Red Hat OpenShift. IBM Mono2Micro is an innovative tool that uses AI to simplify how enterprises adapt monolithic legacy applications into microservices to run anywhere on the hybrid cloud.
IBM brings new AI-powered capabilities into a new intelligent data fabric in Cloud Pak for Data – including a breakthrough technology called AutoSQL (Structured Query Language). AutoSQL technology automates the access, integration and management of data for AI – regardless of where it resides – without having to move it. [we could stop here] With the new data fabric and AI capabilities, IBM is delivering what we anticipate should be a significant differentiator for customers by automating the data and AI lifecycle – the potential to free up time, money and resources – and connect the right data to the right people at the right time, while conserving resources.
IBM’s breakthrough in semiconductor design and process has the potential to quadruple cell phone battery life, slash the carbon footprint of data centers, drastically speed up laptop functions, and contribute to faster object detection and reaction time in autonomous vehicles like self-driving cars.
A new Software as a Service (SaaS) version of IBM Cloud Pak for Security is designed to simplify how organizations deploy a zero trust architecture across the enterprise. In addition, a new alliance partnership with leading cloud and network security provider Zscaler will help clients adopt an end-to-end secure access service edge (SASE) approach, and provide the foundation of a zero trust architecture.
Qiskit, the IBM-developed open-source framework for quantum computing for a global community of developers, aims to make quantum computing accessible to all. By introducing Qiskit Runtime, IBM is enabling quantum systems to run complex calculations such as chemical modelling and financial risk analysis in hours, instead of several weeks.
A new container-native software defined storage (SDS) solution, IBM Spectrum Fusion, will fuse IBM’s general parallel file system technology and its data protection software to give businesses and their applications a simple and less complex approach to accessing data seamlessly within the data center, at the edge and across hybrid cloud environments. And updates to the IBM Elastic Storage System (ESS) family of high-performance solutions will deliver 10 percent greater storage capacity (ESS 5000), and offer double the read performance of their predecessors (ESS 3200).
Watson Orchestrate is a new interactive AI capability designed to increase the personal productivity of all business professionals across sales, human resources, operations and more, helping them reclaim a significant amount of their time to focus on more strategic work. Requiring no IT skills to use, professionals initiate work using Watson Orchestrate in a very human way, using collaboration tools such as Slack and email in natural language.
